Summary | 0001735: Dwarves seem restricted to a burrow that does not exist anymore
Description | All my dwarves don't seem to go outside or past the bridge anymore, even though I already deleted the burrow that restricts them indoors. I've already tried assigning them to a new burrow then unassigning them and stuff but they still act the same. On a side note, my migrants aren't moving from their spots in the woods and aren't doing any jobs either. I'm waiting to see what they will do when they need food.

Are you sure the bridge is passable? If you create a squad, are you able to order them to move out of the fortress? Did you change the civilian alert in [m]ilitary -> [a]lerts? |
The bridge is indeed passable. Puppies are always walking through it. Military squads really don't go past the point of the old burrow. If I assign them one tile off the deleted burrow they just go to the barracks and sulk or something. Civilians were always on inactive. I'll try to upload a save later today if I can. If it's needed. |
I'm assuming you've tried creating a meeting zone and they won't gather there? |
The ones whom I've assigned long ago won't gather there (meeting zone outside the nonexistent burrow) but the new wave does. |
Thanks for the quick answers. Hmm... I suspect this is related to 0000074, where zones that are supposedly removed still exist. |
I should have asked for this much sooner, but just in case... do you happen to have a save demonstrating this problem? http://dffd.wimbli.com/ |
Does this still happen in 31.06? |
Reminder sent to: mintleaf Do you have a save that reproduces this problem in 31.10? If so, it would be helpful to upload the save to http://dffd.wimbli.com/ |
Sorry for the REALLY late reply. I had abandoned Dwarf Fortress after the bug ruined my save and then I got really busy with school work. This is the original save, done in 31.03, but if it means anything, when I import it into 31.12 they're still stuck. Sorry I wasn't able to reproduce it in later versions. Too busy. Thanks! http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=2832 |

when I import it into 31.12 they're still stuck. That should suffice. Thanks! |
