What do you mean by "virtually nothing left"? Also I have no idea what "Carp could not just kill a fisherdwarf" means. |

Carp have always been a severe threat to dwarves because dwarves cannot swim, and they tend to accidentally dodge into the water where they drown. Rivers/ponds have no ramps and so the dwarf cannot climb out of the water. Thats why carp are so dangerous. |

Try looking for the dwarfs corpse\gear through the stocks menu. It looks like you might be getting hit with bug 0000895 |

Maybe the carp and dwarf fought, the dwarf drowned, and then by the time it was noticed the body had rotted away? Thats the only thing I can think of, but that shouldn't happen. Individual bones can rot away, but partial skeletons should not. A dwarf can rot away to a partial skeleton, but there's still Urist McDead's partial skeleton sitting there forever. |
