| Summary | 0001918: Tigerfish treated as meat rather than fish | ||||
| Description | On the embark screen, I was searching through the meats and discovered tigerfish. But it's not just that, there were prepared tigerfish hearts, kidneys, livers, brains etc etc like a real meat as opposed to regular fishmeat. Unknown whether this affects tigerfish caught in game. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Choose a starting civilisation that has access to tigerfish Embark and prepare carefully to see. | ||||

A tigerfish is a creature fish (like carp), not a vermin fish that a dwarf can fish up in a standard way. As such, it leaves a corpse that could (in theory) be butchered, rather than getting processed at a fishery. This behavior is entirely expected. |

^^^ Yup. It's pretty strange, but that's how it's meant to work right now. Check this article for more details on the distinction between vermin and creatures: http://df.magmawiki.com/index.php/40d:Vermin |
