Summary0001993: Arsenal dwarf not appearing on noble screen
DescriptionI went from 13 to 37 dwarves in one migration. The Arsenal dwarf hasn't showed up on the noble screen yet. The leader didn't die and the noble screen is otherwise behaving a expected. It has been more than 1 month that the migrants have arrived.
Steps To ReproduceI think that this is an intermittent bug.
Additional InformationI read somewhere in the forum that it could be a bug and that it eventually end up showing up on the (n)oble screen. I couldn't find any bug report directly on this issue by searching for "arsenal dwarf".

If it is just a matter of time, maybe then the severity should be downgraded from major to minor (but can really be a problem if the squads are waiting for the Arsenal dwarf to show up).

 Well, just as I loaded the game to make sure I was to zip the right folder.. and the arsenal dwarf showed up in the noble screen. I'm positive that it wasn't there for a couple save/load cycles after the fortress' pop got over 20.
Oh well, sorry about that. I'll make sure that I save the folder right away the next time. As this issue is on the wiki, it must have happened to others, though.

I've uploaded a zip from a new game where the problem reproduced itself. This game is a Genesis Mod game (0.31.04), but the problem is identical as previously described.

... but I propose to downgrade the severity to minor because the Arse Dwarf eventually shows up on the (n)oble screen. Or is it a feature?

 I saw this too. Was pretty disturbing, but after some time (6 months or so?) the Arsenal Dwarf position finally appeared.

The first immigration took me to 21 population, and I'm tempted to say (though I can't be sure) that the arsenal dwarf didn't appear until the next wave that brought it to 43. But I guess, since I didn't track it closely, all I can do is verify another instance of it using .04.

This can probably be closed and reevaluated when/if the arsenal dwarf makes a comeback.

Huh, I had this bug too a while ago, didn't see any arsenal dwarf position show up. Then again, I didn't have a militia commander either.

Anyways, Dwarfu is right, this is moot now.
