Technically, it's still *your* artifact weapon, so I don't see anything wrong with wording it that way. Omitting the "your" could possibly make it more confusing. |
I don't see how "You slash the wolf with Namedweapon" is more confusing than "You slash the wolf with your Namedweapon". It's kind of like "You slash the wolf with a bronze scimitar" instead of "You slash the wolf with your bronze scimitar", there really isn't a difference in confusingness. And yes, it's still *your* artifact, so maybe this is intended. In that case though, maybe "... with Namedweapon, your bronze scimitar" is more intuitive? |
I edited the title to include a similar situation that produces unambiguously bad grammar, "You ... the ... with your Urist's corpse" |

To use a link: http://img.ie/7b062.png Note the awkward third person phrasing. Suggest the phrase be altered to "with [weapon name], [pronoun] [base weapon type]" So for instance, there that would be "The militia captain strikes the forgotten beast in the shell with Rikkirkurol, her bismuth bronze battle axe and the severed part sails off in an arc!" As above from dree12, another example using this would be: "You slash the wolf in the head with Albert, your Bronze Scimitar." |
