Summary0003103: Dwarves won't treat new infections
DescriptionNew infections occurring due to prolonged treatment are not treated, as the CMD probably doesn't issue a rediagnosis order. Eventually, the dwarf succumbs to the infections before being completely healed.

It's possible that the diagnosis will occur after all treatments have been completed, but I haven't been able to get that far. On the other hand, a axedwarf/tanner which was more lightly injured and did complete the treatment, is still carrying around an infection to his hand.
Steps To ReproduceGet a dwarf with lots of wounds, e.g. by having a goblin with a hammer pound him repeatedly.
Have him diagnosed
Watch new infections arise after a while as he's being treated for his multitude of injuries.

Seen this as well in 31.12. Had a dwarf with a broken finger. A medic came over and took care of the dwarf, and then the dwarf was up and about. However the finger became infected either during treatment or while it was healing up later on with the splint on it and nothing is being done about it. The dwarf washes up every now and then at the well, but his infection is still going. Luckily the infection is minor enough that it hasn't killed the dwarf.
