Summary | 0003341: [VERMIN_GROUNDER] tagged Vermin Flying off ground.
Description | I found a Large Roach scooting around 2-3 levels above the earth. They have the [VERMIN_GROUNDER] tag and shouldn't be able to exist off the ground level. Image of flying vermin for a quick viewing here: http://img299.imageshack.us/i/flyingroach.png/ SAVE:http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=3191 Screen paused with the Vermin culprit already visible, if you have trouble locating it, it can be seen nearby the north side the roof of the highest tower on the map.

I just spotted one of these in 0.31.14 as well - a large roach floating 3 Z-levels above the ground. |

VERMIN_GROUNDER exists as a placement tag like VERMIN_SOIL_COLONY, not as a behavior/ability tag. Like with unit-sized creatures, it is the FLIER tag that determines whether a vermin can fly. Since there are real-life cockroaches that can fly, even if they usually don't, and not very well, large roaches having the flier tag seems to be intentional. |
