| Summary | 0003425: Dead Ettin murdered my save. | ||||
| Description | When I load my game, it loads alright, and is paused on loading. I seem to be able to do whatever I want, but the moment I press space to unpause, I crash to desktop. This happens every single time. I have not yet tried to reboot. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | It is perfectly reproducable currently, at least within my savegame, considering it has crashed the last ten odd times I tried to unpause. | ||||
| Additional Information | Sequence of events: I got an immigrant wave. Near the end of the wave, an Ettin suddenly arrives. "Oh shit", I thought, still being in the process of military refurbishing. The Ettin is stalled for a while, first chasing a poorly skilled immigrant, then fighting the immigrant's poorly skilled newly drafted wife. Soon after the Ettin confronts my forces, 1 swordsdwarf, 9 wrestles (trained as speardwarves), one trained marksdwarf and 3 fresh marksdwarf recruits. The Ettin is somehow quickly slain (smashed left head helped), and I sustain no casualties among my real military. Feeling proud of my underequipped military, I quickly pause and save the game. Upon trying to unpause after loading again, I crash to desktop, and have ever since. | ||||

Are you sure the game crash isn't caused by dwarves trying to butcher/store/extract the creature? |
