| Description | I have tried running Dwarf Fortress, however it does not launch. I have tried two versions (I dont know which ones) and the game does not launch. I have tried the same two versions on a friend's laptop and they work fine. I can see in Windows Task Manager that Dwarf Fortress is running. | ||||

Have you tried both legacy and SDL versions? Are you sure you are downloading the windows version? Have you updated your graphics card drivers? Literally there is so much that could cause this that I can't even begin to guess what it is. I'll need as much information as you can give me to help you out. |

Problem solved, Shockwave Player was crashing whenever it was needed. |
