Summary0003839: Barrels of alcohol left all over the place.
DescriptionMy dwarves repeatedly leave alcohol barrels in random locations about my fortress, often nowhere near any stockpiles. This is annoying and especially fun when they're left in my danger room and my unarmored haulers want to take them back where they belong. I think dwarves are taking the barrels with them once they've finished drinking and leaving them wherever they happen to be when they start a new job, but I haven't been able to catch them in the act. If so, they don't do it every time: plenty of barrels are left appropriately in the alcohol stockpiles.

Do 0000121 and 0000300 explain what you're seeing?

Not exactly. The barrels end up in places where my bookkeeper never has cause to go (notably my danger room). It appears to only be alcohol barrels. And the (still full) barrels don't get taken back (at least, not by my military) which is part of the problem.

 Also, some of the barrels get left in places where the military have no cause to go, so I don't think it's confined to them, unless they're doing it during their downtime.

This really isn't a duplicate, not of 0000121 in any cause.

Thinking about it further, it might be only the military (and the bookkeeper).

Places where barrels have been sighted: a) my barracks and weapons/armor stockpile; b) at or near my sentry points; c) my woodcrafter's workshop (marksdwarves picking up bolts?); d) adjacent to my alcohol stockpiles; e) and yes, in my bookkeeper's office (although I've never seen anything left there apart from alcohol barrels).

I can't recall seeing this behaviour prior to first drafting dwarves.
