| Summary | 0003859: Military refuses to equip gloves/gauntlets. | ||||
| Description | I decided to start a military in my fort, so I had six sets of masterpiece steel gear made, and then set up the six military dwarves to wear a uniform of a helm, greaves, breastplate, steel high boots and steel gauntlets. Three of my military have the full uniform now, while one is missing a gauntlet (he picked up an inferior quality one that was melted down later) and the remaining two dwarves will not equip gauntlets or boots no matter what I do! | ||||

| Additional Information | I have one weapons/armor stockpile for masterwork gear and three dwarves have used this stockpile to obtain gear, the gear for the other dwarves is inside and freely available to them. No locked doors, nothing forbidden, all other gear in my fort is marked to be melted down. | ||||

This has probably been mentioned before, but it looks like the asssign individual items screen doesn't respect anything - forbidden items and items held by other dwarves can be assigned. The save file for this bug is located here: http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=3625 |

Toady may need an up-to-date save (0.34.02+) to fix this problem. It would be helpful for someone to upload a save to http://dffd.wimbli.com/ and post the link here. |

I played some test games and didn't have any problem making my dwarves equipping gauntlets. They won't match the gloves though. (they may claim one *iron glove* and a -iron glove-). Tested in 34.06. |
