Description | There are two separate 5*5 ponds carved in gabbro/phyllite. First is filled through single chanelled floor tile with buckets from well. Second is filled by pump. No drop in the sums of pond tiles water levels observed in more then a season (spring-summer). Source of water is salt water aquifier. Water in pump filled pond is definitely fresh, working water source zone. Biome is Wetland (Dry). | ||||

Outdoor water does not evaporate* in all biomes - in particular, it's unlikely to happen in a wetland (also, there's no such thing as a "(dry)" biome). Also, indoor water will never evaporate*, no matter what. (this is assuming that you are referring to water that evaporates from a depth greater than 2/7 - water at depth 1/7 will evaporate anywhere) |

Its indoor condition. There is Wetland (dry) biome, according to Wiki. No sunberries and no rope reeds here, for example. Yes, water 1/7 evaporates. 2/7+ do not. Not a bug, just DF phisics. |
