i also saw bee colonies in a rock wasteland and flora-less desert, so no flowers, doesnt make much sense too

I just spotted an underwater honey bee colony in a lake.

Hot/scorching biome, quite soon after embarking.

 Related: colony on same tile as "dead shrub". It blinks between the two. DF .31.25 and Genesis mod.
