Summary | 0004451: Site finder ignores flux/soil depth without warning. Low evil =/= good
Description | The site finder is apparently not entirely concerned with the presence of flux or soil depth. Often it will still highlight areas with 'little soil', even when set to deep. In addition, using the prospector utility, I've found multiple sites where Flux was set to 'Yes' and no flux was present. Also, when evil is set to 'low', more than 'good' areas will be highlighted.
Steps To Reproduce | This works best in trying to begin in good areas, as it seems flux -never- appears in good areas. My method was this - Site finder : Flux - Yes. River - Yes. Shallow Metals - Multiple. Deep metals - Multiple. Soil - Deep. Clay - Yes. Also, aquifers are off. The site will most likely end up being good temperate shrublands, grasslands, or desert. There will be a bunch of sites shown as possibles that are clearly not 'good' aligned areas (not Serene, Mirthful, or Untamed Wilds) If you do play in one of the 'good' sites and use the prospector, you will find that despite the site being suggested, there is no flux.
Additional Information | Tested in roughly 20 fort attempts in search of a fort in a 'good' region with flux.

Couple things - Also, Evil - Low on site finder And by 'Aquifers off' I don't mean 'No' in the site finder. I mean they're removed altogether. Also - Untamed Wilds should be Joyous Wilds. My apologies. |
