Summary | 0004628: "Collect clay" jobs on repeat generate infinite cancellation spam
Description | In my current fort, I collect clay from a small surface plot. Eventually, the collect clay jobs on repeat create unlimited "cancels Collect Clay: Clay vanished" cancellation spam. I believe, but am not positive, that this happens when the dense grass that grows at my site grows over whatever exact spot that job wanted to collect clay from; if I manually cancel the job and re-cue it, the spam stops (assuming that there is a valid clay collection zone).
Steps To Reproduce | Either have a clay collection job on repeat where the collection area can and will grow thick grass, OR download the save at http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=4358

Just to be clear--if I manually cancel the spamming task and restart it (which can only be done by canceling all clay collection orders; there's no way to zoom in on any particular workshop that is doing this), the spam stops... for a while. It has returned consistently over the entire 2-decade lifespan of the fortress. |
|
As a potential workaround, try building a paved road over the clay - it should prevent any grass from growing, and it might still permit the clay to be gathered. |

That work-around totally worked, for what it's worth. |
