| Description | Cracked open the underworld, killed the first wave of demons in my spiked hallway, saved the game, reloaded the next day and the game crashes the instant I unpause. This is a modded version of the game, but the mods are just for plants and one additional animal, and the game has been running fine through multiple saves in the first 15 game years. I've never had this save issue before so I suspect it might have something to do with the underworld, which I've never successfully breached before. This is apparently *not* the compressed savegame issue, since this is a 32-bit system. | ||||

I have a similar issue( http://www.bay12games.com/dwarves/mantisbt/view.php?id=4619) but I've not breached the underworld. Can you re-save or abandon your fortress without having it crash? |

Both saving and abandoning work as long as you don't unpause. Tried reclaiming the site but it again crashed as soon as I unpaused. |

Update: I've reset to an earlier save and tried again. This time I can save and reload with no problems. A minor difference between the first and second: the first time one or two demons retreated to hell after I sealed off the spike chamber whereas the second time I killed all of the first wave. The crashed save was a minute or two after reopening the chamber, though I never saw the monsters again. |
