| Description | - ISSUE: The skills MASON and CARPENTER are currently used for both crafting furnitures AND the making of buildings. When you make massive use of WALLS & FLOORS, your entire CRAFTING line goes down the drain because all your MASONS or CARPENTERS go build. - POSSIBLE FIX: Either use the ARCHITECTURE skill for all constructions instead of MASON and CARPENTER. Or make constructions from WORKSHOPS way at the top of the priority list, which will ensure that they will always be used, no matter what. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | My example? Have 4 MASON workshops doing furnitures on repeat. Have 20 people with MASON skill enable. Build 200 Blocks worth of WALLS and/or FLOOR. Nobody's going to do furniture unless you are lucky or until the WALLS/FLOORS are done. | ||||

Please post and discuss suggestions on the appropriate forums: http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?board=5.0 As the raws are currently built to designate skills to be used for construction, this is intentional. You have the means with which to more fine tune your production chains by turning labors on and off, restricting certain workshops to particular dwarfs, etc. Besides, I think there are just as many out there that would argue they want as many people as possible to build walls as fast as possible. |
