Summary | 0004766: libTrash causes Crash during World Gen.
Description | libTrash (http://pages.stern.nyu.edu/~marriaga/software/libtrash/) is a "[...] shared library which, when preloaded, implements a trash can under GNU/Linux. Through the interception of function calls [...]" When a new world is being generated (with default settings or any other settings) the game segmentation faults right after 'creating civilizations...'
Steps To Reproduce | 1. Intall libTrash. 2. Create a new world in DF.
Additional Information | I'm not asking for this to be fixed (it's very low priority), just wanting to put this info out there so that people don't get frustrated not being able to figure out what is crashing their game. Simply doing `unset LD_PRELOAD` did not work for me (it's supposed to disable this library); I had to uninstall libTrash and restart. libTrash also breaks fakeroot (not a bug).

I'm going to go ahead and mark this "not fixable", which it is. It should still show up in search results etc. for those interested. |
