| Description | I had my one of my military dwarves use a bismuth bronze shield and sometime later after training with it for a while, he named it. Because I was short on shields I cycled 3 shields among my ten soldiers. As soon as I unequipped it, it became unable to be re-equipped by any of my dwarves. Now I can't even dump the item. All I can do is view it. | ||||

Named items are analagous to artifacts, and artifacts cannot be dumped, so that part is normal. The dwarf that actually named the item will usually prefer to equip it. |

Dwarfu, no, the item was not forbidden. I made sure to check that first thing. Quietust, I did double check to see if the item was owned, but it didn't list anyone. Fortunately, I was able to use the item again when I starting playing today. I don't know what caused the item to behave as it did, but everything seems to be fine now except that there is a list of shields in the equip screen that are apparently made of underground wood. When I try to equip these my dwarves do nothing and I cannot find them anywhere. I am sorry if something I do is improper or I am misinformed. This is the first time I've used this site. Is there anything I should do to my bug report since the issue appears to be resolved? |
