Summary0004965: Paved roads prevent traders and diplomats from leaving map edge
DescriptionI decided to add a bit of panache to my fortress and built three sections of paved road just outside. All visitors (traders & diplomats) that arrived appeared at the region edge and stood there drooling until they got bored and went away.

Deconstructing the roads with a caravan waiting did not make it rush to the depot, but the next caravan arrived at the depot with no problem at all.

Rebuilding just one paved road section reintroduced the problem again. The next arriving human diplomat stands at the region edge and won't budge.

The fortress has only one entrance, that's where I built the road.

I scheduled the construction of a road in the area that caused problems earlier. Once it completes, incoming traders should stop at the region edge.

There's a Human law-giver waiting at the southern edge of the region, and she's stuck there because there's a river blocking her path.

Oh crap, you're right! I tip my hat to you sir and sorry for the false alarm. Seems the freezing/thawing rivers coincided with my road deconstructing/building :).
