I'm not sure about the exact cause. My initial suspicion that it's related to the the blood rain/snow may be incorrect. I had this bug happen again on the same map, with the same well, but this time covered by a roof, with the adjacent tiles where dwarves stand to drink covered as well. When I deconstructed the well to inspect the contents of the bucket, it was full of ice. The well water was liquid however. In that case, the bug would be caused by water in the bucket turning to ice when the dwarf attempts to drink from it. |
