Summary | 0005304: Drowning companions are doomed by fast travel
Description | I recruited about 15 comapnions and went to travel. As we now have to stop to drink and eat, each time I went back a companion was missing. I returned to the previous spots and couldn't see them. This used to happen before 34.01, but it was less severe. In the end of my travel, I had 5 companions from the original 15.
Steps To Reproduce | Recruit a lot of people, see them dissapearing
Additional Information | I searched for similar bugs but none of themwere specific about the companions dissapearing. I couldn't find them again nor they were duplicated

I can't right now from where I am. What files are needed? All the region folder? I think I may tomorrow. |

The full region folder of the affected world. |

Nevermind, I know what is happening. They are drowning. But I think it remaisn a bug. Players don't have the least control over the companions. |
|
When you cross a river, the companions usually get behind, or start drowning, so you go away fast to enter in travel mode and save them. But I returned and saw them already dead. So the player will have to always cross in bridges or, when they aren't there, to cross the river where it is frozen or just a brook. Maybe not a bug, but a broken feature. |
|
Do drowning deaths during river crossings account for all of the missing companions? |
|
I am not sure, but it looks like this, yes. |
|
In that case, I think this has moved out of bug territory. You may be causing more deaths by fast-traveling away rather than waiting around to give them a chance to climb out. |
