Summary0005390: Digging Upward Ramp makes dwarf go nuts.
DescriptionUpward ramps dont tend to stay on the z-level they are built on (+ hole on upper level). They tend to extend 1 z-level above that too.

Ie. if you go down from surface 2 z-levels, designate upward ramp there, it also designates upward ramp to be dug out on z-level above that (which leads to a hole on surface)
Steps To ReproduceGo any amount of z-levels under surface level,
(d)esignate
upward (r)amp
go up a level and see designated upward ramp where you ordered it on level below.

Urr. My memory fooled me. Replace reproduction steps "(u)pward ramp" -> "upward (r)amp" :-)

And now that I have been building ramps more - lets reiterate.

It actually doesnt bug, if you create the ramp on current z-level.. If you however (like I use to do), start making it on z-level below (ie. you've drawn current level's ramp and move cursor next to it and push enter, move up a level and draw the ramp there on it's correct place), it draws it on z-level below too..

And this "start on level x, move on level x(+/-)1 and finish" works on both directions.

i find it easyer to designate channels as they have ramps in them anyways.

You don't need to designate a ramp on the above level, leave that undug and continue your tunnel / ramp on the next tile. The upward ramp designation acts like a "channel upwards".

xxxxxddddd x = undug wall, d = designated for dig, r = designated for ramp

Multi-z-level designations are a feature introduced in 0.34.01.
