Summary0005498: Lock/crash from attempting to export map twice after world generation
DescriptionDuring World Gen or using Legends mode, if the user export an image of the world map twice in a row, the game hard-locks. No errors are produce, the game simply becomes unresponsive.
Steps To Reproduce- Generate a world with any parameters or load an existing world in Legends Mode.
- After world gen or in Legends mode, tap (p) to export an image of the map.
- Tap (p) a second time.
Additional InformationThis was attempted both in the World Generator and in the Legends mode with a pre-existing world. The first image is successfully exported without issue, the second hard-locks the game. Also, if done during world gen, the world is not saved before the hard lock, wasting the effort.

For me it doesn't happen in the legends screen, only after world generation.

The game locked up for me. Fortress Defense mod was applied. Linux version, "Create new world" with Short history (125 years) and all other settings on default. I moved around a bit, then I pressed "p" only once, to create the .bmp image and text files; those were created successfully. Then I pressed Enter to accept. But instead of going to the "offloading units" screen, the process simply hung forever. Not eating CPU -- just sleeping forever.

I killed it (SIGKILL was required), deleted the image and the text files and the data/save/current directory, and tried again. This time I did not move around, and did not press "p" -- I just pressed "Enter". The units were offloaded and everything seemed fine.

It would appear the problem is with exporting an image. You don't have to hit 'p' twice. Just hit it once and try to do anything else with the game. It will lock up. As Footkerchief stated, the problem has been brought to Toady's attention.

Just don't hit 'p' and you should be okay!

Tested with and without texture pack, tested with the following worldgen parameters:
