| Summary | 0005645: Outpost liaison stuck on a jailed mayor | ||||
| Description | A vampire has been elected as my mayor and has been sentenced to about 600 days jail time. After caravan arrival and leaving I noticed that the outpost liaison is sitting in the jail cell for about a year already, but with no messages to the player that some meeting is progressing. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | I'd guess that jailing the mayor would reproduce the bug. | ||||
| Additional Information | A good solution would be to either a) liaison be able to hold meeting in the jail cell b) liaison choosing another noble (Broker?) to discuss the issues c) liaison leaving as the mayor is "unreachable". Waiting for a multiple year sentence to end isn't appropriate. | ||||

Does replacing (or at least removing) the mayor work? Or do you then end up with the "liason leaves unhappy because meeting was aborted" bug? |

This issue has further consequences in the new version, as the mayor is now also responsible for hearing petitions. Every visitor interested in joining my fort has been stuck on 'No Job' for a year now, whether I manually appoint someone else for the job or leave the position empty to cause a new proper election (which reappoints the jailed vampire). I'm currently waiting to see what happens once the vampire's jail sentence runs out, after which his additional punishment of 50 hammer blows should hopefully kill him. Edit: The vampire died and a new mayor got elected, but meetings still never happen. Replacing the vampire mayor seems to have led to a separate issue, see 0003027 |
