Summary0005700: 33x17 Worldgen Crash Many Minerals
DescriptionThe game crashes shortly after starting to generate a 33x17 world with minerals set to 100 (max minerals).
Steps To ReproduceOn a vanilla install of DF, duplicate POCKET REGION, change the dimensions to 33x17, and change the "minerals" parameter to 100.
Additional Information17x33 works fine, as does 17x17.

Using the string "a" for all random seeds makes it crash for me. All worldgen parameters except for minerals (and x size) are identical to the default for POCKET REGION.

This might not help, but when it crashes and windows says it crashed, under "more detail" it says the following:

I managed to reproduce.

Widnows 7, dwarf fortress .05

Today evening I can try to reproduce that on Linux Mint on DF .06

changed "use seed" to "yes" and "seed" to "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa"
mineral scarcity to "100"
dimension to 33x17 (what caused mineral scarcity to revert back to 2500 - why?)
mineral scarcity to "100"
F6 to save
enter to start generation

Yes, you have to change the dimension BEFORE you set mineral scarcity, otherwise it'll reset.

Since save compatibility has been broken since this report, it's hard to tell whether this crash has since been fixed. If anyone has world generation params that reproduce this problem in the latest version, please upload them to http://pastebin.com/ and PM a manager on the forums (or reopen the report).
