it's been working reliably for me with stones. haven't tried hair or cartilage. |
I just successfully dumped cartilage in one of my forts. Are you sure this bug reproduces for you? |
It reproduced on version 0.31.01. I haven't tested it on 0.31.02. |
This bug reproduces for me in version 0.31.02. I butchered several bulls and the butcher's shop became cluttered with skin, hair, cartilage, hooves, bones, and horns. The skin was properly taken to the tannery, but the hair, cartilage, bones, and hooves will not dump - even after deconstructing the butcher's shop. Could be related to the doors-block-dumping-sites bug, since my butcher's shop is sealed away behind a door. |
My butcher shop was outdoors but entirely surrounded by stockpiles. You may be onto something. |
Are you still having this problem in 31.08? |
Reminder sent to: Forumsdwarf, Wirevix Forumsdwarf, it has been awhile since you reported this bug - you stated your butcher shop was outside - do you remember if your refuse options were set to gather from outside? If not, it would prevent the dumping of those items. Wirevix, you stated a reproduction in 31.02 - was your butcher shop outside also? |
Gather refuse from outdoors was set. Bones of non-butcherable creatures that died and decomposed outdoors, whether or not on a corpse stockpile, were collected from outdoors and processed into crossbow bolts. That couldn't have happened without "gather outdoors" set. |
Reminder sent to: Forumsdwarf Thanks for the follow-up. Have you seen this happen in versions beyond 31.01? If so, can you upload a save for it? http://dffd.wimbli.com/ |
I haven't played Dwarf Fortress since I was banned. |
