| Description | i have been trying to get back into dwarf fortress but when i unpause my game after about 5-60 seconds it crashes! it is getting really annoying saving and coming back in all the time, someone help D: | ||||

I am afraid we will need much more information than this. Does it actually crash or does it just lock up? What is the specific crash message? Is there anything in the error log? Does it still crash if you disable truetype? |

im going to upload the save now, but i dont know if its the world or my laptop because it does it for a different fortress aswell |

im gonna look like a complete idiot, but how do i upload my save? im completley new to this and im sitting waiting at the upload screen wondering what i need to upload |

logic, some more info, it crashes right after i play for 5-60 seconds, the game screen goes white and a box comes up, it says ; Dwarf fortress.exe has stopped working a problem has cause the program to stop working correctley. windows will close the program and notify you when a solution is available and then when i try to do something the game just crashes hope this was helpfull |

I still want information on what's in your errorlog, and I want to know what additional information that 'box' has - there's usually some button you can press that provides additional information. Does it still crash if you disable truetype? You have to upload the region folder containing the save that's crashing. |

Your save is one of the "regionX" folders inside data/save. Create a zip file containing the appropriate region folder. That zip file is the file that you should upload. |

You can disable Truetype by editing data/init/init.txt. |

i also forgot to mention i have the genesis mod on my game, but im pretty sure thats not it |

i think i fixed it! i think the problem was that my FPS was getting into the like 500's and it caused the game to run to fast and shut dwon, so i turned my limit to 100 and it is working! thanks for the help guys! |

actually D: turns out it still crashes, i think it must be a certain time in the game and when i had 500 FPS it was happening faster ): so im still stuck |

Since save compatibility has been broken since this report, it's hard to tell whether this crash has since been fixed. If anyone has a save that crashes under similar conditions in the latest version, please upload it to http://dffd.wimbli.com/ and PM a manager on the forums (or reopen the report). |
