| Description | When both ropes and chains are available as building materials, attempting to build a restraint will let you choose either material. When only ropes are available, however, the UI will not allow a restraint to be constructed. Instead, a message is shown saying that no chains are available. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | 1. Stock fortress with ropes but not chains. 2. Attempt to build a restraint using a rope. 3. Observe the message stating that no chains are available. 4. Build a chain at a workshop. 5. Repeat step 2. 6. Observe that ropes can now be used to build restraints. | ||||
| Additional Information | - Note that forbidding all chains is not sufficient to reproduce this issue. - Also, assigning all available chains to restraint building tasks and then attempting to build a rope restraint will not trigger the issue either. I'm not sure of whether the issue will trigger after the chain restraints are actually built. - It's possible that once a chain comes into your dwarves' possession, the issue may permanently clear up. | ||||
