Summary0005910: Cave-in causes crash
DescriptionI had a wall of ice that I used to wall of my moat from the river right next to it, and when the next winter arrived, I started to deconstruct it, so I could build a real stone wall. The wall was four tiles long and all tiles touched the river. I successfully deconstructed three tiles, but when my dwarves got to the fourth one, which had - as the only tile - another wall tile on top of it, a cave-in occurred. Which was logical, nothing special about that. I then pressed "." a few times until I got a combat log and hit "R". At this point the game crashed.

Steps To ReproduceI reloaded the last auto-save and tried to remove the tile again, and the second time, it worked. But...

"The Dwarven Child is caught in a burst of clay!
The Dwarven Child is caught in a cloud of boiling magma!"

Not the first time some magma mist appeared after a cave-in in this version though, so I'd guess it's another issue.
Additional InformationLast lines from Gamelog.txt:
"A section of the cavern has collapsed!
The Stray Buck Rabbit's upper body takes the full force of the impact, bruising the muscle and bruising the heart!
The Stray Buck Rabbit's right front leg takes the full force of the impact, bruising the fat!"

There was a rabbit right there, so those injuries were accordingly noted. But there's nothing about the dwarf who dug out the tile, although I saw him being unconcious while I pressed ".".

The "cloud of boiling magma" is covered at 0001638.

If you don't have a save that reproduces the problem, or information about how to reproduce it, Toady can't do anything about this. Please reopen this report if information becomes available.

Note that, if the crash occurred while you were browsing menus, it might not have anything to do with the cave-in.
