Summary | 0000602: Pathfinding fail, sometimes dwarfs cant find a "way out"
Description | Sometimes if dwarves are really far from the fort ( for example mining or building something 30 z-levels underground ) they tend to get stuck after they are done what they did and they are not going back to the fort. this is the gamelog that we got from this situation "Dodok Ishlumlogem, Stoneworker cancels Store Item in Stockpile: Could not find path." They cant find path even tho nothing blocks it, they get stuck like that only if they are really far away from the fort. After around 10 minutes of gameplay they get unstuck, but still they are wasting much time by just standing there and doing nothing.
Steps To Reproduce | 1. send dwarves to do any job far away from fort
Additional Information | I tested it with miners and masons by building walls and mining underground.

Pathfinding? Why did you flag this feature? There's a number of reports on pathfinding out there, but it's still not understood very well what exactly is going on that's causing problems. Refer back to 0000018 and it's many other children. |
