Summary | 0006062: Water creatures swim up into 1/7 water tiles, come crashing down
Description | Creatures in 7/7 water tiles with 1/7 water tiles above will often swim up into the 1/7 tile, which then either dries up/moves somewhere else or is simply unable to support a creature and prevent it from falling (can't verify which - fall happens in less than ten steps from the jump). This causes the creature to fall down, which causes smaller of them to severely injure themselves (often dying from the injuries).
Steps To Reproduce | Set high cavern water level in world generation Generate new world Embark in area with a river Connect the river to the cavern Follow one of the "active" water creatures
Additional Information | The part where larger creatures (giant toad) are more resistant to fall damage than smaller ones (pond grabber) sounds like a separate bug to me, but I'm not sure if it's actually the size that causes damage differences.

Severity major is a mistake here - should probably be minor (I couldn't find edit option, so I assume it's not available to reporters). It's probably linked to some more serious bugs, like swimming up a waterfall, but on it's own it just causes emo pond grabbers to litter the lake floor. |
