Summary | 0006173: Immigrants (from abandoned fort) are friendly, but cannot be assigned labours/viewed in manager screen
Description | I abandoned a fort that was being overrun in a siege after the siege was fought off, so the emigrants did not starve to death. Many of the emigrants had injuries, some minor, some severe. I played a few adventurers and then I started up a new fortress. The first two waves both had immigrants from this previous fort. This was clear for two reasons: They had injuries associated with the goblin siege. They had assigned profession names, i.e. wood militia. However, they only showed up in dwarf therapist and not in any of the in-game manager tools. They also did not perform any actions, even when assigned through dwarf therapist. Therefore, immigration was broken. The immigrants would hang around the edge of the map. Have not yet checked to see if they die of hunger and thirst.

related to | 0006019 | new | Dwarf Mode migrants appear as friendly, uncontrollable units with modded dwarf entity |
|
Reminder sent to: Lidhuin Please upload a save demonstrating this problem to the DFFD (http://dffd.wimbli.com/), and post a link here. Have you modded the game? 0006019 reports a similar problem with dwarf entities modded to use towns. |

I have used dwarf therapist, which is as far as it's been modded. These are also very clearly dwarves from my previous fort. Unlike the first fort I abandoned, the second abandoned fort had survivors. These survivors are uncontrollable and I imagine if my first fort had had survivors, they would have been equally un-cooperative. Will attempt to reproduce using two different methods: 1. make a new fort, abandon it immediately, then make a second fort 2. make a new fort, assign custom professions through dwarf therapist, abandon it,then make a second fort. First bugged save uploaded: http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=6821 Ps - reading the other bug report. My adventurer visited my abandoned fortress and spoke to some of the migrants there who said they were going home. This may be related. |

Abandoning a fort immediately and starting a new one does NOT reproduce this bug. |
|
Some migrants have made it into the fort. It seems the only migrants affected are those that have been interacted with in adventure mode? |
