After the jail time was done, the hammerer repeatedly caged and uncaged the vampire instead of beating her.

Are you getting any job cancellation spam from the hammerer? Have you built a restraint?

I built a restraint later on. I can't remember if that was before or after the weird caging started, but it was definitely in the same time frame.

There was no job cancellation from the hammerer, just from the vampire trying to plant seeds and failing because she was caged. I eventually used dfhack to delete the vampire because I got sick of waiting for my hammerer to kill her.
