Summary | 0006847: Dwarves do not plant crops after first crop cycle. |
---|
Description | After planting and harvesting one cycle of crops, my farmers failed to plant any new crops. The seeds sat unused in the seed stockpile. I had three or four dwarves with the labour enabled and at least one of those dwarves was solely a farmer with no other tasks queued up except hauling. |
---|
Steps To Reproduce | Create farm plots underground. Grow whatever is available to grow in them. (The menu changes now depending on the current season -- you can only set whatever is available at your CURRENT time, so if you try to set something for summer it still gives the spring crops -- I think someone's reported this bug already.)
Then just wait! By the time the first batch of crops is harvested, your farm plots are going unused and you have nothing to brew. Sit back and enjoy the carnage! |
---|
Additional Information | My farm plots are 5x5 and are located right beside a stockpile in which only seeds are permitted. (Min 2 steps, max 0000024:0000020, between any seed barrel and any plot.) The seeds are in barrels. There were at least 80 plump helmet spawns available as well as 0000019:0000010 of a few other seeds like dimple cup and sweet pod. When I set up my farms I leave them fallow in opposite seasons to ensure crops aren't ripening and interfering with the next planting cycle -- so one farm will only have crops spring/autumn and the one beside it will only have summer/winter. Once I saw nothing was being planted I then changed all fields to be plump helmet all the time, but still nothing would plant. |
