Summary0006862: Siege Operator (to Clothier): In a time before time, I attacked me
DescriptionI was killing some bandits that were harassing a village and just for fun I threw the head of one of the bandits inside a house. People got nervous and started saying things related to death and running away from the severed head.

I got one message about a Farmer jumping out of the flight path of the Clothier and then the Siege Operator said : In a time before time I attacked me.
 Later the Clothier said the same. I couldn't figure why they were saying that. Maybe they collided with the walls or something.
Steps To ReproduceI don't know. Maybe trying the same I did above.
Additional InformationIt is a small thing but I think it should be related because it doesn't make sense.

 Seems to happen more often with trolls (when you give them speech) in Dark Towers, but it can happen to anything.

Likely related to the you attacked you events that occasionally show up in your adventure log.

I tried to get it to trigger in arena mode, but I couldn't. I did have a suspicion that it might be caused by when you fall or collide with something, but no real evidence that it is causing it and difficult to catch in the act of happening like 'just now, I attacked me'.

Theres a related one which is "in a time before time, someone attacked someone" and rescued prisioners seem to love to say that.

Edit: Just got one of some coyotemen (and women) saying 'I attacked me' including a 'just now I attacked me'. Will post save soon.

Edit2:In the save, the coyotemen are up a level and a bit south, in the announcements screen you can see that they are reporting the 'I attacked me' thing.

 Has anybody managed to reliably reproduce this in the arena? I saw one or two people that managed to reproduce it in the arena, but they have no idea how it triggered.

I did the same thing as before, threw a head inside a house, and the same thing happened, so it still is in 0.42.03

"I attacked me" still occurs in 0.47.01 whenever site NPCs talk about a fight between two or more other site NPCs. It probably arises from how little these non-historical characters actually know until an adventurer talks to them (see discussion at 0010346).
