Summary | 0007104: Fast Travel Results landing on top of tree.
Description | When I fast traveled near a river I found myself on top of a tree a good 5 z-levels above the ground, with no way of getting down (or up there for that matter). I can fast travel out only to discover that I was not in the location I stopped fast traveling at, I had been pushed one map block to the east. After saving and reloading it stopped pushing me west to the other side of the river instead east. However if I fast traveled to the location where I got stuck on top of the tree, I still ended up on top of the tree. And once more after saving and reloading the original issue of being pushed east and onto the treetop again. Short Version Fast traveling to a specific location on the map strands me on top of a tree 5-z-levels high with no apparent way to get down. Also the tile I stopped fast traveling on is not where I land varying between reloads.
Steps To Reproduce | 1)Fast travel to different location away from tree top issue. 2)Fast travel back to location where tree top issue occurred, still an issue. 3)Fast travel to area near river and stop fast traveling, get pushed to tile where I am stuck on top of treetop. 4)Reload game. Repeat steps 1-3 with variation in where I get pushed. I haven't managed to reproduce it in other worlds.
Additional Information | Here's the save file, as I can't reliably reproduce it in other worlds. https://www.dropbox.com/s/9fynwry3ecxo9c2/fast_travel_bug.7z

Have you tried climbing down with the 'h' key? It probably shouldn't place you on the tree, but in the meantime you should be able to climb down. |

Yep that worked, I wasn't aware of the climbing function, so I suppose this isn't really a bug, however the issue with not being placed where I stop fast-traveling is still an issue, considering at one point it put me on the other side of a river, which was rather disorientating. I must apologize that was really arrogant of me to jump to the conclusion I couldn't get down, I should have done a little more research before posting the bug. |
