Summary0000717: Killed human inhabitants of a Dark Fortress ruled by a sheep demon. Afterwards all humans in the entire world were hostile
DescriptionI played Adventure mode with a human adventurer traveling to a dark fortress. Inside it I recruited an human Axeman. Shortly afterwards I met the leader of the entire Fortress, a Sheep Demon. It became immediantly hostile and attacked me, and so did the entire fortress (including children) AND my freshly recruited companion. I then killed the demon, my former companion and every aggressive living human in that area. Afterwards I travelled back to the nearest human town where everyone was hostile too. I soon realized that every human in the entire world was hostile towards me.

the civilization might be pretty big - are you sure you haven't traveled far enough to encounter a different human civ?

It's not unheard of for there to be only one human civ in the entire world. You may be able to confirm this by poking around in Legends.

Okay, I get it now...I came to that Dark Fortress (which, despite once beeing founded by goblins, was a part of my own civilization, what I didn´t realize at first x_x) and was seen by the Sheep Demon (who was also the leader of said goblin civilization and still lived there, despite the entire fortress being taken over by humans), which instantly threatened me and became hostile and so did the entire group of the Fortress (not the civ at that point) with him. Then some other inhabitants of the fortress saw me and became hostile, making me an enemy of some other groups/religions they had ties with (even before I killed some of them and despite me also killing some of the groups enemies who were living in the same region as them). So it was some kind of hostility chain reaction and after enough people saw me, the entire human civilization became hostile as well (even though I was a member of it).
So yeah, doesn´t seem like a bug, but rather as another strange quirk of DF (it was only self defence against a demon and his helpful neighbours after all). I didn´t get it at first because it was my first real adventure-mode game and I didn´t know much about the in-world "diplomacy".

Yeah, it doesn't make much sense, but it's "intended."
