| Description | I'm fairly sure that I've not changed any settings regarding this, but I don't get a pause or a message when migrants arrive. I'll usually be checking my dwarves and I'll notice that there are several new ones. | ||||

Turns out there is a message, but the game doesn't pause and focus on them. I'll poke around the preferences to see if there's an option I don't have ticked. |

There should be five lines containing "MIGRANT_ARRIVAL" in (DF)/data/init/announcements.txt. What do they contain? |

Interesting - that should work normally (it works for me, at least), so it may be related to the specific migrants. Can you upload a save to http://dffd.wimbli.com/ and link to it here? |
