Summary | 0007655: Carpenter won't move to build up/down stair after picking up log
Description | I heard birds can keep sieges from happening so I'm building a wooden stairway to a kea near the edge of the map to try and kill it. It's so near the edge, I can't build walls there but apparently stairs are allowed. I built an wooden upstair at ground level, ordered an up/down stair on the z-level above it. When the carpenter gets the log to build it, he just stands there, not moving. I've tried canceling construction, assigning it again and same thing happens.
Steps To Reproduce | Build upstairs near edge, where walls aren't allowed, then build up/down stair over it.

duplicate of | 0006530 | confirmed | Dwarves won't build stairs in trees (specifically leaves/twigs) |

Is he horrified by the kea? |
|
Figured it out. A tree grew in the meantime and some branches were preventing him from building. I tried it in a different place, close to the edge and he built it fine. Still a bug, just needs a cancelation and warning |
