Summary0007717: Crash on stopping at tavern
Description    Save link : http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=9157 [^]

This save was generated under 0.40.03, and at that time there were lots of places that couldn't be accessed in adventure mode because of the lag.
0.40.04 solved this for the last places I checked, but I still encountered freezing after trying to stop in the city in which my adventurer is located in the save, so I killed the process (something I do routinely when freezing occurs).

Ever since, if after getting away from the city you come back to the place I saved (the tavern in the city) and you try to stop there, the game doesn't freeze, it just instantly crashes.

It is probably related to the presence of a travelling group at that tavern, since all other places I've tried in the city have only frozen the game, and not crashed it.
Steps To Reproduce1) Download and extract the save at http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=9157 [^]
2) Load game
3) Go away from the city, in the wilderness
4) hit 'd' to stop in the middle of nowhere.
5) hit 'T' to travel back to the tavern where the save was done, at the northeast of the city
6) hit 'd' to try and stop there
7) Crash

This might not be specifically related to the fact that it's a tavern, because I've stopped fast traveling at a tavern in the manner you describe before.

Probably not, I just indicated that for the sake of finding it more easily, since the bug does not reproduce i nany other travel square in the city that I tried.

If I had to guess anything, I'd say it's related to the travelling group that is on that square.

After testing, crash still happens on 0.40.06

The underground layer data became corrupt somehow. It's possible to salvage the world by deleting the feature files from the save folder, giving in to starvation, and then making sure the feature files are still gone, since the underlying permanent data outside of those files appears to be fine. That means it's either generating the temporary/feature file data incorrectly, or that data is becoming corrupted at some point during play by another part of the game.

I've added some logs that'll alert somebody that their map has become corrupted in this way, but so far I don't have a clue what's actually going on.
