Summary | 0007785: Merchant problems in my fortress
Description | Saved game : http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=9234 This fortress has been running for +/- 2 years ingame and is currently having +/- 90 population, at some point i had a human civ sending merchants to trade. Once it has been done, the human merchants left, and forgot 2 of their guys behind, a merchant and a bowman (that i assume was a caravan guard), they are stuck here since months and do not leave. Follow the river to the north starting from my fortress and on the very top of the map, a bit to the left of the river you'll see them. Since then i've been visited by a dwarf caravan from mountainhomes, i finished my trading with them, all the dwarves wagons have left the map... excepted for one that is moving really extremely slow, it took it a lot of time (several minutes) to reach where it is now from my depot, this wagon can be found to the east of my fortress, every other wagon have already left long time ago without a single problem. Additionally maybe or not related, that fortress with currently +/- 90 dwarves is running very noticably slower than it did in 34.11 in the same population condition, i don't know if it's related to the very lots of trees that increase pathfinding calculations a lot but as my embark is small it's odd.

reloading my save it looks like the 2nd case is having the wagon now running better than when i saved, the wagon is much less slow, not sure what is the reason. But it does nothing much for the human merchants stuck on the map top additionally, just noticed in my trade depot, there are a bunch of items that none of my dwarves is hauling back to stockpile (press t and look in the depot). |

I had the same issue, but the humans eventually left before the dwarves arrived. Instead, the dwarf caravan froze up with only half of them at the depot. One of the traders is just standing on water with his mule. Edit: Actually, he might be hanging from a branch, but I'm not sure a mule should be doing that.
