Summary0000788: Traded raw clear/crystal glass not appearing at Jeweler's Workshop, although green glass does
DescriptionDwarven caravan arrived with raw clear glass and raw crystal glass. Both items show in the stocks menu as rough gems, not cut gems (departure from usual game behavior as traders usually bring cut gems only). Having traded for the items and checking after several seasons have passed, the items do not show up in the Jewelers Workshop interface for cutting or setting. After this time has elapsed I am fairly sure this is not pathing error behavior, but have not run a second fort to try and reproduce. Confirmation welcome.

I imported some raw glass from traders, and it shows up on my Jeweler's Workshop menu as available for cutting, at least in one fort.

I think it happened in 40d too, not sure with which types of glass though. You could only order it from manager.

Rafal99 is correct about the manager, it will allow you to cut the gems. Tested and confirmed.

Does this actually have anything to do with whether the glass is traded or not? Does non-traded clear/crystal glass show up in the workshop?

I had this happen with traded clear and crystal glass in 31.02. I haven't tested whether non-traded clear/crystal glass shows up, mostly because the moody dwarf I was trying to cut glass for went bonkers before I got the clear glass made. :)

I'm wondering if this is connected to the "traded animals don't show up in the Animals list" bug somehow.

Now that's weird...

I had all three glass types through trade, but only green glass showed up in the jeweler's "add new task" menu as per the bug's description.

I then made one raw clear glass and now both clear and crystal glass (which I have not produced locally) do show up in the jeweler's menu.

Now I just forbid the freshly made clear glass and both clear and crystal glass are gone from the jeweler again.

Unforbid, they're both back again.
