Summary0000795: If part of a stockpile is inaccessible, barrels/bins don't get placed in succeeding tiles
DescriptionIn my fort, there is a food stockpile. It was being filled with plump helmets from the nearby farm. When it became full, I created some more barrels to store them more efficiently. The barrels were placed in the stockpile and filled, but only for the first "row" of the stockpile e.g the top-left square to the top-right. The rest of the stockpile was used as normal, but no more barrels were placed there. The number of barrels was set to the maximum, and had not been changed since the pile was created.

I deleted the stockpile, mined out more space, and created a new one which overlapped the original. Again, the first row was filled with barrels, but no more than that.
Steps To ReproduceCreate a food stockpile with default settings. Create enough barrels to fill stockpile. Farm enough plump helmets to fill stockpile. See if more that the first row is used.

Can anyone else confirm that this happens in all forts?

With no changes to the standard options, I've had food stockpiles use the full requirement of barrels.

Of note, none of my barrels were crafted, they were all imported.

I tested with a new fort in 31.02 last night and the stockpiles used barrels (imported and created) as expected. I will look to see if I have a save of the fort where I saw the problem, so please don't close until I've checked for that one, thanks.

One thing was that the stockpile initally filled with un-barrelled plump helmets before I started making barrels; I didn't replicate that in last nights test.

OK, I loaded up the save in 31.01 and it's definitely got the problem. I'm not sure what you need for a save file, so I've zipped up the region folder, and you can download it from http://www.walkeritc.co.uk/region2.zip

Figured it out. The northeast corner of your food stockpile is inaccessible. I removed that portion of the stockpile, and they immediately brought over more barrels. I'm retitling the report accordingly.
