Summary0007957: Pitted vermin hover in open space
DescriptionElves brought some tame vermin (a rat, and later a hamster) that immediately escaped (0006343). I ordered them pitted into the caverns. They were carried to the pit zone and placed beneath the floor hatch. They remained hovering in "Open Space" below the floor hatch indefinitely. There are no adjacent walls for climbing, and only a floor hatch directly above.

Yes. Without a hatch they are also apparently able to "fly" up into my fortress.
