Summary0008058: Slaying of zombie giant tiger in marketplace did not generate a rumor for that event
DescriptionLong story short, when I entered a town marketplace, there was some panicking going on and I saw the combat logs of a zombie tiger somewhere. It took a minute to find, but I killed it after a long battle. Then, when I went to the rumors list to shout out my kill, the rumor of the tiger (named Reveredauthored) getting killed by me wasn't there. It is there on my kill list though.

I did break aggro a couple times in an attempt to sprint and jump at it (unfortunately it's freaking agile with it's dodge for a zombie, and being a giant tiger) and also to grab some other weapon laying around to try and bring down the thing.

Also, not sure what everybody is running away from now.....
Steps To ReproduceUnknown, but finding a zombie animal rampaging in a marketplace and killing it would be a good place to start.

Does this apply to all undead historical figures?

I haven't had the chance to test that yet. I'll post when I do get the chance though.

Here's one of a zombie ogress that I killed, no rumor generated for that either. Creatures name is whitelanced.

If you think I should provide one from before I killed a named undead, theres other named undead in the region which I can use.

Saves are good, but establishing a pattern would be more useful at this point -- e.g., does this happen if and only if the target is a zombie?

Theres two more named zombies that I can kill to check that in this save. Whitelanced was the only named ogre alive at this point, but the other two named zombies are giant dingoes and there are various other named giant dingoes around.

I didn't get a response from you footkerchief, so, I went and killed the giant dingo zombie, no rumor generated, killed the local named giant dingo (not undead) and a rumor generated for that.

Seems like enough of a pattern for me.

I didn't see any question to respond to. What about humanoid zombies?

Well, the ogre is humanoid. I have secrets set to zero because the towers proliferate too much. There aren't any other humanoid zombies in this world anyway.

My adventurer just got killed by a night creature anyway.

Little bit of an update, I killed a mummy and a report generated for that, however, that's a different type of undead from the zombies.

I killed a live named ogre and a rumor generated for that. Seems like a pretty solid pattern to me. Now, I guess I should kill the other named zombies just to solidify the pattern?

Hm, interesting. After I killed that ogre, the ogre reanimated, then when I killed that zombie ogre, I got no rumor for re-killing the ogre (though it no longer had a name). I got curious about whether it generates for any random undead, so I killed a random zombie harpy that was nearby (adventurer is a vampire).

More testing is needed. :D

Killed a random kestrel outside the evil biome: kill rumor generated

Killed a random zombie weasel (which was launched by my punch, lol): Attack rumor generates, but no kill rumor.

Killed a random stork outside that biome: Kill rumor generated.

Took said stork's corpse to the biome, let it reanimate, killed that: Attack rumor generated, no kill rumor generated.

Will test with humanoids shortly.

Killed a kobold in a kobold camp within that biome: Kill rumor generated as expected.

Killed one of the kobold zombies that still had a name: Attack rumor generated, no kill rumor generated.

Looks like it's ALL zombies, not just historical zombies.

Let me know if you think more testing is needed. Still should check skeletons though.
