| Summary | 0008177: Random (or not so random?) fight starts in meadhall? | ||||
| Description | This is pretty much an 'I have absolutely no clue what is going on and no idea if there is a bug here' situation. When I first arrived at the meadhall, things were fine, then when I went outside to follow whoever seemed to be running around a bit (it was the local lady, who went back), and when I got back in, a fight suddenly broke out. At about the same time, a kobold spearman (I think he followed me from the neghboring hamlet to the west, not sure) appeared in the doorway. What I suspect MIGHT have happened is that one of the crossbowmen tried shooting at the kobold, hit the eliete xbowman, who got pissed, and started attacking others. He was initially hostile (lethal escalation) to me, but I yielded and basically said 'truce! What the heck did I do???' and he agreed to stop fighting with me, although he wasn't being actively hostile towards me. Hopefully DFhack develops some tools to understand what is going on. | ||||

Continuing on with the game, as the eliete xbowman tried to run outside, he got attacked by the diagnoser and the lord there. Not sure if this resembles a loyalty cascade? There is just such a lack of information..... |

Okay, it got even more confusing. This is after I reloaded the save to see if the diagnoser kills that xbowman again because I thought the corpse disappeared. When I went to check out, and maybe talk to, the civillians standing and talking outside the meadhall, I suddenly and COMPLETELY unexpectedly get attacked by one of the civillians. http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=9548 This is right when he attacked me. I never, at any point while I was there, drew my weapons or attacked anybody. Toady One, if you could check this out? It's utterly confusing as I never expected anybody to try to attack me. Edit: I went to travel mode to try and reset it, moved one tile, went back, then the same cook drew both his knives (not sure where he got two from, then again, he's a cook) and basically charged right at me. He stopped when I told him to stop fighting though. |
