| Description | When anything other than start playing, continue playing, or quit is selected, it pauses for a moment, then comes up with a C++ runtime error. No modding has been done, only chariot's 40d graphics set and a few options in the init file changed. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | All I've done is change the init file. Here's the options I've changed. [SOUND:OFF] [INTRO:OFF] [BLACK_SPACE:YES] [GRAPHICS:YES] [GRAPHICS_WINDOWEDX:1280] [GRAPHICS_WINDOWEDY:800] [GRAPHICS_FONT:Guybrush_square_16x16.bmp] [GRAPHICS_FULLSCREENX:1280] [GRAPHICS_FULLSCREENY:800] [GRAPHICS_FULLFONT:Guybrush_square_16x16.bmp] [GRAPHICS_BLACK_SPACE:YES] [GRID:80:40] [FULLGRID:80:40] [AUTOSAVE:YEARLY] [AUTOBACKUP:YES] [AUTOSAVE_PAUSE:NO] [ZERO_RENT:YES] | ||||

remove the graphics set. The raws are changed, so graphics sets will not work until they are updated. |

I'm getting the C++ runtime error on "embark". Stock DF, no graphics, init tweaks, etc. |

That sounds like it deserves it's own thread. Might try downloading again, possible you got a corrupted download. Failing that it probably points at hardware issues which means you need to give detailed information on everything... |

Had the same issue, reset [GRAPHICS:NO] and issue no longer present. |

I had the same issue as well. Set [GRAPHICS:NO] and issue went away. |
