Um, wiki says otherwise: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oat#Uses 'Malt' might be a better term here than beer. Edit: Not sure what you're trying to say here, that they should be brewable or that the preference is changed? |

It's an inconsistency that could be resolved either way, but I suspect it'll be resolved by making them brewable. |
