Summary0008230: Animals breeding in Cages
DescriptionIn several of my latest forts, I captured Giraffes, and Elephants in separate worlds. In both of these instances I caught both males and females. While trapped in the cages, these animals are reproducing. So I now have cages with a female Giraffe and a Giraffe Calf. As well, the other world has female Elephants with an Elephant Calf each.
Steps To ReproduceSet up cage traps, leave the cages where they are when the animal is caught, I have not tested if they are moved.

As I understand it, if a female is pregnant before it is put into the cage it will give birth, but it will not get pregnant again. So not sure it is a bug.

Yeah, I don't think this is a bug. There was an opposite report in the old bug system:

000364 ▨ (doesn't reproduce) [dwarf mode][pets] caged/chained animals stop breeding

That suggests that they're supposed to continue breeding.
